* PINNACLE COMPUTER'S US BBS DIRECTORY FOR 1995 *
* *
******************************************************************************
This directory is brought to you by Pinnacle Computer BBS. It contains
listings for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with over 11,000
BBS's listed. While not complete, it is an extensive listing of BBS's found
in the US. The directory consists of 51 separate files, (1 for each state),
and are arranged by state, area code and phone number.
The directory is provided as plain text files. They can be read and printed
by most text file utility programs, such as DOS's EDIT command and Windows'
Write, as well as shareware programs found on many BBS's.
If you should find an entry that is in error please contact us either by
calling the BBS (Free Access) or writing to: Pinnacle Computer Services,
Omer, MI 48749-9731. If you know of a BBS that is not listed, let us know
and we'll add it to the directory. If your the sysop of a BBS and would like
to add your board to the Directory, see the accompanying file: 0SYSOP.TXT.
A little common sense should be applied when calling any of the BBS's listed.
When calling a board for the first time, you should call during normal
business hours. It should also be remembered that new BBS's come and go all
the time. A BBS operating today may be history tomorrow! You will also find
many different BBS operating systems such as: Wildcat!, PCBoard, RBBS, TBBS,
etc., along with the operating systems employed by the major bulletin board
systems, such as Genie, America Online, CompuServe, etc. A little
experimenting is usually all it takes to learn your way around a BBS, and
there are the Help commands found on many boards that can assist you.
Pinnacle Computer BBS and Pinnacle Computer Services have not received any
fees from the listed BBS's, nor do we endorse them. The directory is
provided as a public service and is to be considered Freeware. No fee shall
be charged for the directory and it is to be distributed free with all 54
files intact, unaltered, and as the original file 0PINUS95.ZIP.
Because of the extensive listing it is impossible for us to verify every
number. Call at your own risk!! The directory was compiled from many sources
and we simply cannot guarantee complete accuracy.
Pinnacle Computer Services, Pinnacle Computer BBS, and its employees make no
claims expressed or implied, as to the validity of the directory and shall
not be held responsible for its content, damages resulting from the use of,
or liability to any parties involved in the use of, or to those listed in
the directory.
Currently in the works are directories for Canadian & overseas BBS's, and a
directory arranged alphabetically by BBS name. Listings are also updated
from time to time and new ones are being added. For an updated listing you
can call Pinnacle Computer BBS and go to the file area Lists and Information,
or you can read and download directly from the Bulletin area, (Board Room).
In the Board Room you'll also find other listings and databases. In the
messaging area you can leave a message or post a classified ad, as well as
read messages and ads left by other users. In the News Room you'll find
computer & BBS related news articles.
Access is free to all users, with additional access to registered users.
Pinnacle Computer BBS operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at (517)
654-2807 (8-N-1).
